Do I need a Pipal seller account to advertise?
No. Brand campaigns are entirely separate from the seller side of the platform. You sign up at business.pipal.life with your company details, upload your creative, and your ads run. No app download, no seller onboarding.
How does the auction work?
Pipal uses a CPM auction. You choose a placement priority tier (Standard, Priority, or Premium) which sets your effective CPM rate. Higher tiers rank above lower ones in every auction slot. Within the same tier, ads are ranked by relevance to the user: category match, location, and behavioural signals.
What targeting is available?
City-level targeting across Nepal (Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, Biratnagar, and more), product category targeting (clothing, electronics, food, beauty, etc.), and behavioural retargeting based on what users have browsed and purchased. Interest-based signals are layered automatically.
What creative formats do you accept?
Images (JPG, PNG, WebP) and video (MP4, MOV) up to 20MB. Banner ads support 200px and 400px height. Card ads are square-thumbnail format. All creatives are reviewed by our team before going live.
How is performance measured?
Your dashboard shows impressions, clicks, CTR, add-to-carts, and purchases attributed to your campaign, updated in real time. ROAS is calculated automatically. You can also break down performance by surface (feed vs. search vs. suggestions) and by city.
What's the approval process?
Every campaign is reviewed by our team, usually within 24 hours. We check for quality, accuracy, and compliance with our advertising policies. You're notified immediately on approval or rejection, with a reason if rejected.
